Concert by the SRFUA Band
SRFUA Band Concert On March 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., the SRFUA Band will take the stage at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium. Exhibition “With or Without…Smile. Life is worth living!”
From March 2 to 31, the Manuel José “do Tojal” Municipal Library in Vila Nova de Santo André will host the collective photography exhibition “With or Without... Smile. It's worth living!" by the Missão Coragem Associação. This collective photography exhibition arose in the wake of the 2026 Solidarity Agenda, which aimed to alert people to the fact that the age group affected by breast cancer is getting younger and younger, making prevention very important. Eleven photographers were challenged to take photos of 12 people who had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and they readily agreed to do so. These photographs are the result of those sessions.

The launch of the book "Com Pés e Cabeça a Bíblia do Corredor" (With Feet and Head: The Runner's Bible) by Luís Sobral and Pedro Soares will take place on March 7, at 10:30 a.m., at the Manuel José "do Tojal" Municipal Library in Vila Nova de Santo André. “Com Pés e Cabeça: a Bíblia do Corredor” This project was born out of friendship and the desire to create something with real impact. Developed by Luís Sobral (physical therapist and runner) and Pedro Soares (producer, editor, and designer), this book is the result of the union of our different areas of expertise, aligned with a common goal. We also had the valuable collaboration of nutritionist Sofia Gaspar, co-author of this project, to whom we extend our enormous gratitude.” 🧠 “With Feet and Head” is a theoretical and practical guide, with visual support, that compiles everything Luís would have liked to know before he started running: ✔️ How to plan a running season. ✔️ How to choose the ideal running shoes and equipment. ✔️ Nutrition applied to training and running performance. ✔️ More than 30 videos with practical exercises to prevent injuries and improve performance.

The workshop is divided into two sessions and aims to explore percussion instruments, promoting creativity, motor coordination, and group work in a playful, inclusive, and participatory approach. Mini-concert by the Orff Orchestra
The Orff Orchestra Mini-Concert will take place on March 7, at 5:30 p.m., at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium. The Orff Orchestra is a small musical ensemble inspired by the traditional classical orchestra. However, the musical instruments used here are different. Instead of traditional violins, we have a wide variety of xylophones with very distinct musical "colors" in terms of sound. From the highest to the lowest notes, we have an entire musical structure inspired by the composer Carl Orff. Bringing "classical" music to everyone from childhood. This format is presented annually with students from the Santiago do Cacém Municipal School of Music.

Organized once again by the ACP - Automobile Club of Portugal, with the support of the Municipality of Santiago do Cacém, it holds the 2nd position on the W2RC calendar, being the only stage contested on European soil, specifically in Portugal and Spain. A car and motorcycle competition full of adrenaline, excitement, and unforgettable moments. Among the standout drivers is Lucas Moraes, the reigning world champion and winner of the last edition of the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal. The Brazilian is part of a star-studded field that also includes established drivers such as Nasser Al-Attiyah, who leads the world championship standings, Sébastien Loeb, Carlos Sainz, Yazeed Al Rajhi, and Henk Lategan. We warmly invite you to get to know our sanctuary and spend time with the horses! 🐴 The day begins at 2 PM, and you can enjoy coffee, tea, and a snack as you settle in. We will be exploring connections with the animals, staying in nature, and doing simple somatic exercises to feel more grounded. And of course, there’s plenty of time with the horses! 🐴 We are located 10 min. from Abela in the direction to Grandola. (About 1.5 hours from Lisbon) For those who wish, overnight stays are available in a beautiful, comfortable house. ConstruSons – Workshop for Building Musical Instruments with Recyclable Materials 🎶 ConstruSons – Musical Instrument Construction Workshop with Recyclable Materials will take place on March 29, with two sessions, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Cercal do Alentejo Parish Council. This initiative aims to raise participants' awareness of musical practice and, at the same time, promote environmental awareness through the reuse of recyclable materials.
