The traditional Festivals in Honor of Our Lady of Mercy
On September 7 and 8, Odemira will once again celebrate the traditional Festivals in Honor of Our Lady of Mercy, as part of a program that also includes the Municipality Day celebrations. Two days of celebration, featuring music, culture, entertainment, and tradition, including performances, religious ceremonies, and events as part of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival. On September 8, the Municipal Holiday, the highlight will be the Solemn Session for Municipal Day, followed by the traditional luncheon. In the afternoon, religious celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Mercy will take place, featuring a Solemn Mass, a procession, and an auction in honor of the patron saint. The celebrations are organized by the Parish of Odemira, with support from the Municipality of Odemira and the Parish Council of São Salvador and Santa Maria.
