Integrated Himalayan Yoga
Integrated Himalayan Yoga classes are based on the recognition that Yoga is much more than physical postures. It is a journey of integrating the human being in all of her/his/their dimensions: body, energy, mind, and awareness. In my classes, I strive to offer a balanced and profound practice that encompasses a diversity of tools to work on the different layers of our being, from the densest to the most subtle, stimulating processes of internal transformation, balance, and expansion of consciousness. Depending on the intention of the practice, different techniques may be included, such as Hatha Vinyasa, Pranayama, Kriya, Kundalini, Mantras, Mudras, Yogic Wisdom, and Meditation. Full Moon Stone Circle Ceremony
Full On Monday June 29, we gather close to where the Mira River and the Atlantic Ocean meet for a guided Stone Circle Ceremony under the full moon. At the centre of our gathering lies a Crystal Stone Circle: a contemporary ceremonial field inspired by the ancient wisdom of stone circles: sacred patterns that connect earth, sky, direction, rhythm and human awareness. As we attune to this field through stillness, sound, breath and attention, space opens for reflection, inner listening and intuitive guidance. The evening includes a brief introduction to the wisdom of stone circles, an AUM meditation, a card reflection and a personal consultation with the Crystal Stone Circle. This ceremony is not about prediction or performance. Restorative Evening
Restorative Evening is a weekly practice for people who want to end their Monday or Wednesday differently. Not collapsing in front of a screen, but actively guiding their body back to rest. The session draws on asana, restorative yoga, and breathwork, and works with both active and passive phases. We begin with movement that gently engages the system, not to energise, but to create the conditions for real rest. Then we move into slower, supported postures and breath practices that allow the body to settle fully. This approach of moving before resting reflects how the nervous system actually works. Rather than forcing stillness onto a body that hasn’t been given a chance to process the day, we work with the body’s own rhythm and let rest arise naturally. What to expect in a session Each session follows a gentle arc from activation into rest: Active asana: guided movement and postures that engage the body and invite it out of the holding patterns of the day Breath practices: pranayama techniques woven throughout to regulate the nervous system and prepare for deeper rest Passive restorative postures: fully supported positions held with the help of props, allowing the body to release without effort Integration: a closing period of guided rest to let everything settle No performance. No right or wrong way to do this. The pace is unhurried and the guidance is clear. At the tip of the Canal, between the road and the Atlantic, to the SOUTH.CO kicks off with a night of house, electro, minimal, and breaks, carefully curated and played one track after another. KaMpfumo opens at 10 p.m., Octo takes over at midnight, and Gazco follows starting at 2 a.m. Some people dance as if they were tearing fabric: without ceremony, but with precision. The needle drops, the bass hits the floor, and the body feels it before the mind does. In the Alentejo, even haste learns to dance sideways.
