🌸 The Department of Environment, Nature Conservation, and Health, as part of the 2025/2026 Environmental Education and Health Program, is organizing, in partnership with the Department of Sports, on May 24 at 11:30 a.m., at the Sines Multipurpose Pavilion, a session dedicated to menopause and andropause — natural phases of the life cycle that are still insufficiently discussed in an informed and accessible manner. These stages are characterized by various physical and emotional changes, with a significant impact on well-being and quality of life. The initiative aims to inform and empower the public, promoting health literacy, demystifying concepts, and encouraging self-care practices. Guest speakers: ▪ Cristina Mesquita de Oliveira - President of VIDAs, the Portuguese Menopause Association, and author of the book *Descomplicar a Menopausa* ▪ Professor Anne Gompel, PhD - Gynecologist and Endocrinologist, internationally recognized in the field The session will have an interactive format, using participants’ mobile devices to allow for anonymous questions, followed by a Q&A session. The community is invited to participate in this initiative, which aims to promote knowledge, answer questions, and contribute to a more informed and healthy experience of these stages of life.
