🐾 On May 29 at 5:30 p.m., the “Dog Walk with History” event will take place, an initiative organized by the Municipality of Sines as part of the 2025/2026 Environmental Education and Health Program.
The event invites participants to explore the Historic Center of Sines and Vasco da Gama Beach Avenue on a walk that combines heritage, raising awareness about animal welfare, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
Along the route, various points of historical interest in the city will be highlighted, along with information and explanations regarding the legal regulations associated with pet ownership.
The initiative will also feature the participation of some dogs from the Sines Municipal Kennel currently available for adoption, raising community awareness about the importance of responsible adoption.

The activity aims to:

▪ Raise awareness about proper care for companion animals;
▪ Promote healthy lifestyles through physical exercise;
▪ Encourage civic responsibility and responsible adoption.
Notes:
▪ All animals must be accompanied by their owners;
▪ Leashes are mandatory, and muzzles must be used when applicable;
▪ Participants must bring bags to collect waste.
