What if your teenager could spend four days doing something that actually matters?
Not another class.
Not another screen.
Not an activity designed simply to keep teenagers busy.
But a real project, with real tools, real responsibility and a result they can stand in front of and say:
“I helped build this.”
From 26–29 October 2026, a small group of just six teenagers aged 13–17 will come together at Monte Ventosa for four days of hands-on learning, teamwork and real-life experience.
GIVE THEM THE CHANCE TO DISCOVER WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF.
Teenagers need more than information.
They need opportunities to make decisions. To solve problems. To work with their hands. To contribute. To experience frustration and find a way through it. To cooperate with others and see that their effort makes a visible difference.
At Monte Ventosa, they won't be completing an artificial exercise.
They'll become part of a real restoration project.
Together, we'll work on an old Alentejo farmhouse using traditional and natural building techniques. Depending on the progress of the project, this may include working with clay and lime, preparing materials, using tools, planning tasks and figuring out solutions together.
But the building itself is only the setting.
The real project is confidence, capability and connection.
The experience is designed to give teenagers room to become more independent while still being supported: to take responsibility, contribute their ideas, learn practical skills and experience themselves as valuable members of a team.
There will also be time to breathe.
Time outdoors. Breaks. Food. Conversation. Creativity. Nature. Laughter. New friendships.
Because this isn't about turning teenagers into construction workers.
It's about letting them experience the satisfaction of creating something real together.
FOUR DAYS. ONE REAL PROJECT. SIX TEENAGERS.
By the end, they won't just take home memories.
They'll take home new skills, a Project Journal, photographs of what they helped create and a certificate of participation.
We'll finish our time together with a shared meal/BBQ and the chance to look back at what the group accomplished.
And somewhere at Monte Ventosa, there will be a piece of a real building carrying their work forward.
