This isn’t the first time Victor Gama and Pedro Almeida (both born in Africa) have shared the stage and their music. In 2006, at the Chiado Museum in Lisbon (“der gelbe klang” – “technoshaman”); in 2007, at Casa da Música in Porto (“clubbing, cyber room”); and in 2021, at São Jorge Castle in Lisbon, at the invitation of Raquel Castro for the “SOA” project.

Victor Gama is a composer and creator of contemporary musical instruments for avant-garde music. He composes music for dance, film, theater, and multimedia performances, using his unique set of musical instruments as exclusive sound libraries. He currently has an exhibition at the Lagos Cultural Center, featuring 23 original instruments, some integrated into the Acruxon and Dino installations. Each instrument tells its own story, and all can be played by visitors.

paL (aka Pedro Almeida) is an experimentalist and improviser who absorbs the sounds around him daily. He pushes his voice and body to the limit, prioritizing the performative aspect of sound production. Initially (1980) with conventional instruments (guitar and voice) and, later, with multimedia tools, he has been exploring the potential of objects/instruments that produce sound.
