Dorota Podlaska is a Polish visual artist who has lived in the Alentejo for two years and enjoys telling her own story as well as listening to the voices of others, discovering different images, flavors and narratives.
In this first exhibition at the Monte da Estrada School, Dorota presents a double series of pieces comprising the first and last works of her long artistic career, spanning more than 30 years.
"The Diary" is a series of acrylic paintings created at the end of the 1990s, directly linked to her personal experiences.
"The Travel Diary" is a series of sketchbooks in watercolor, produced from 2020 to the present and created during various trips to observe and record the beauty of the world.
All the sketchbooks are hand-bound by her husband, Donald Taber.
