We are once again about to celebrate the Fontes Vivas for St. John’s Day in the parish of Relíquias (Odemira). This time it will be on Sunday, June 21—also the summer solstice—making it a double celebration! Starting at 8 a.m., while it’s still cool, at Mina da Misericórdia, then at Mina dos Montes Claros, and finally at 10 a.m. at Fonte do Atravessado, already on the paved road heading toward the village of Relíquias, with a sharing of traditions, songs, and a picnic.

Come join us, or visit a spring near you and celebrate the miracle of water—an entity that is so much more than just H₂O!

An initiative supported by the Relíquias Parish Council and the Tamera Community. We also thank the owners of the sites we’ll be visiting for their cooperation.
