This coming weekend, June 6 and 7, the Escola do Monte da Estrada will host the 1st Festival of Alentejo Memories and Traditions, featuring a packed program of activities that, over the course of two days, will include exhibitions, concerts, talks, poetry, Cante Alentejano, a DJ party, and a craft market.
It is a collective tribute to the Alentejo that is first imprinted on the senses before being stored in memory—a place where identity is not proclaimed but cultivated with the patience of those who know the land.
