Synopsis: What are we talking about? (Well, actually, we're not even talking...)

There's gunfire in the distance, a group of people flee with almost nothing and come across a river with no bridge. On the other bank, a hut (border? checkpoint? or watchtower?) and armed uniforms (military? militia? guards?). There's gunfire in the distance; we have to cross! On one side, a Belgian grandmother in a suitcase, dragged by her devoted Turkish son; a pregnant British woman, her Norwegian husband and their big Swedish baby.

They will have to find their own solutions; naive, peculiar, bizarre, human. On the other side of the river, two guards do their best to enforce the rules. We also meet the goodwill of a humanitarian, a seriously injured man, a lost tourist and the inevitable reporter. There is no fatality, only circumstances and opportunities, and the means they find together to take advantage of them.

On both banks of this river, they are buffoon-clowns talking to their respective grommelots. They are neither martyrs nor executioners. Just victims, without pathos, but full of hope, full of life, caught up in a situation that has been going on forever.

Musical procession through the streets of each town – 9:00 p.m. | Start of the show – 9:30 p.m. In a village court, Dona Marta demands justice: someone broke into her daughter Eva’s room during the night and smashed her favorite jug. Adão, the authoritarian and corrupt judge, prepares to settle the case for his own benefit, but as luck would have it, on that very day he receives a visit from an inspector from the city. Eva refuses to tell the truth, and suspicion falls on her fiancé. For Dona Brígida, who never misses a thing, the Devil is involved in the matter. After all, who broke Dona Marta’s jug? Text: h.v.
