"Don't lose the thread" with Karmit!!!

A study group taking place on September 3, 10, and 17 at Espaço Nativa. Admission is free.

In modern times, wool—this precious material—is being overlooked.

Here in the Alentejo, some of the sheep’s wool also ends up in the trash.

Over the past 15 years, Karmit has been learning and sharing this ancestral knowledge about wool.

“For me, wool is a way to awaken, remember, and connect.”

You’re invited to join us and, together, preserve these precious fibers.

Karmit will be here for two sessions, during which we’ll learn:

*the process of cleaning raw sheep’s wool

*processing and carding the wool.

*spinning with a spindle and spinning wheel.

And in the final session, we’ll cover:

*wet felting.
