This bookbinding workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn how to make, with your own hands, a useful and original notebook that also makes a great gift.
In the first session of this workshop, we’ll explore bookbinding materials and the criteria for selecting them: paper for the pages, paper and fabric for the cover, glue, thread, bookbinding gauze, and more. Various types of paper will be available to view and try out, allowing participants to write with different pens, pencils, and brushes to explore the characteristics of each material.
In this first session, we’ll make a small notebook (single-section notebook) with a decorative cover folded using origami. This process allows you to learn techniques for cutting and folding paper, punching holes, and simple stitching.
