This coming Saturday, the 13th, we invite the entire community to join us!
It will be an afternoon of sharing and socializing along the riverfront in the village of Santa Clara-a-Velha!
Music and singing starting at 3:00 PM with the Amateur Accordionists Group, a circle dance, and traditional cakes for sale!
There will be a lunch for the group that participated in the learning and assembly workshops as a token of our appreciation!
Come and join this local gathering to celebrate the “Villages in Bloom,” where every flower and every decoration will tell the story of a united community.
The day will end on a high note with a movie screening in the villages at 9 PM!
Come on by, bring your family and friends, try a traditional cookie, and enjoy a gathering where everyone is welcome and warmly received!

VILLAGES in Bloom is a project that aims to bring the local community together to learn about Traditional Mast Decorations.
A tradition that has lost momentum in recent years and is now reviving this art form through local knowledge.
Tradition is thus brought together in a project dedicated to culture, with the aim of continuing the craft of making tissue paper decorations, bringing color and life to the streets of the villages of Sabóia, Santa Clara-a-Velha, and Luzianes-Gare.
Project supported by the Parish Councils of Luzianes, Santa Clara-a-Velha, and Sabóia and by the Odemira City Council through the Odemira Criativa program.
