"The Role of Music" concert series

Ana Deus & Luca Argel | Marco Oliveira & José Peixoto | Manuela Azevedo & Hélder Gonçalves | Noiserv & Mia Tomé

The Municipality of Grândola is hosting the first edition of the “The Role of Music” Performance Series, an initiative that blends music and literature in a series of intimate duet concerts to be held in the courtyard of the Municipal Library and Archives.

This Friday, June 19, at 10:00 p.m., Marco Oliveira and José Peixoto will present “Caminho é Quanto Fica da Viagem,” a performance that delves into maritime poetry and the lives of sailors. The title comes from the new album by Portuguese singer, songwriter, and guitarist Marco Oliveira, which blends the tradition of fado with other musical influences.

This is the second in a series of shows featuring a collection of intimate duet concerts that blend music and literature.

Mark the following dates on your calendar:

July 17 | Manuela Azevedo & Hélder Gonçalves

August 7 | Noiserv & Mia Tomé

We look forward to seeing you there!
