The movie "In the Land of Diamonds"

On August 9, at 8 p.m., we have the second edition of Cinema in the Villages, this time in Santa Clara-a-Velha with the film "Na Terra dos Diamantes" (In the Land of Diamonds) - a cinematic journey through the sounds of the county's tradition, bringing together local musicians and groups with artists from other countries. With artistic direction by Nuno Góis, the film is a Zut! production, financed by the Municipality of Odemira.

"In the land of diamonds" is a journey in search of the sounds of tradition, what it means and, above all, what makes it up...

A film about Odemira's Traditional Music, focusing on local artists (singers, instrument builders, composers, choirboys), and local and regional fashions, crossed with professional musicians from other geographies and artistic aesthetics, who have jointly created new compositions fusing local tradition with other universes. Transforming and perpetuating both, without crystallizing them, so that they can continue to be a mirror of our identity.

Encounters allow us to reinforce it, because in diversity we find what reflects us most clearly.

So let's embark on this journey of encounters. "
