The Orquestra do Algarve invites audiences to revisit the magic of the great film screenings of the early twentieth century. At the heart of the programme is The General, Buster Keaton’s masterpiece, presented in an immersive experience in which live music restores cinema to its original dimension as a total spectacle.

Blending humour, rhythm and visual virtuosity, this performance recaptures the fascination of a time when moving images engaged directly with musicians on stage, creating a unique relationship between sound, narrative and emotion.

Presented and conducted by Martim Sousa Tavares, this will be a rare opportunity to discover - or rediscover - an undisputed classic of cinema.
