🎶 Cape Verdean music returns to Pátio das Artes next Thursday, August 6, at 9:30 p.m., with a concert by Judepina, as part of the AoCAS program—Pátio das Artes Thursday Entertainment.
A native of São Domingos on the island of Santiago (Cape Verde), Judepina grew up in a family of musicians and developed a passion for music at an early age. Based in Portugal since 2003, she has built a career marked by the fusion of traditional Cape Verdean sounds with other musical influences.
In 2021, she released her debut album, “Pé na Txon,” a work that brings together rhythms such as coladeira, funaná, batuque, and soukous, inspired by the daily life and identity of the Cape Verdean people.
The Sarau Cabo Verde is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Sines, through the Municipal Library / Sines Arts Center, and the Cape Verdean Association of Sines and Santiago do Cacém, as part of the (a) Cultura-te – Interculturality in the City project.

🎉 International Youth Day | August 12 The Municipality of Sines is celebrating International Youth Day with a diverse program of sports, recreational, and musical activities, taking place along Vasco da Gama Avenue and at Sines Castle. Throughout the day, Vasco da Gama Avenue will host activities as part of the “Sines in Motion” program, which will run all day long. The program also includes the Buggy Experience, an inflatable water attraction, archaeological snorkeling, skating lessons, and a sunset party featuring DJ Miguel Angelo. Cas - Auditorium | 9:30 p.m. | Free with ticket pickup | Organized by CMS “Sopros e Guitarradas” is the debut album by musician Kajó Soares, who blends the tradition of fado with the saxophone—both in instrumental pieces and in combination with fado vocals—in a high-quality, diverse, and innovative performance that is sure to captivate the audience. In this performance, the musician and singer invites two more voices from the new generation of fado singers, thus creating a fado show that draws from the essence of Lisbon’s traditional songs and extends into the contemporary landscape of Portuguese music.
