Based on an ancient tradition originating in the Himalayas, this practice offers a wide range of techniques that support each person in building a healthier and more balanced life, honoring their true nature, regardless of age, body type, or previous experience in yoga.
Sattva Yoga goes far beyond the more common Western approach, which focuses mainly on performing physical postures and a brief meditation practice at the end of the class. Its vision is deeply holistic, giving a central role to Pranayama and Kriyas - breathing exercises and techniques that combine repetitive movements with conscious breathing or mantras.
In some sessions, time will also be devoted to sound healing, using various musical instruments such as Tibetan bowls, gongs, and flutes. The sound vibrations promote deep and immediate relaxation, both physically and mentally.
Classes vary in intensity and character: some will be gentler and more meditative; others more dynamic and energetic, integrating moments of group work and, sometimes, dance. Each class is a unique experience.
