Ourique Book Fair celebrates 25 years with an edition that strengthens the link between reading, authors and the public

From November 6 to 13, Praça Padre António Pereira will once again become a meeting point for readers of all ages. Promoted by the Municipality of Ourique, through the Jorge Sampaio Library, the Book Fair celebrates a quarter of a century of promoting a love of reading and valuing books as an instrument of knowledge, sharing and citizenship. admission is free!

For eight days, the Book Fair Tent will host gatherings, book presentations, storytelling sessions, musical shows and activities dedicated to different audiences, maintaining the spirit of proximity that distinguishes the event and reinforces the role of culture as a link between generations.

The xxv Ourique Book Fair opens with the talk "à Conversa com a Autora Isabel Ricardo", which will take students from the 2nd and 3rd cycles to discover the universe of youth literature. the official opening, in the late afternoon, will feature a musical performance by José Diogo Bento and José Santos.

On Friday, November 7, the program is entirely dedicated to assesta - Associação de Escritores do Alentejo. the day begins with the session "à Conversa com a Autora Dora Gago", aimed at secondary school students. the day ends with the presentation of the book "Nada mais havendo a acrescentar", by Vítor Encarnação.

On Saturday, November 8, we highlight the launch of the ninth volume of "Cadernos Culturais d'Ourique", promoted by Orik - Associação de Defesa do Património de Ourique. Also on this day, don't miss the show "Estendal de Estórias", with Márcia Gamito and Joana Charneco.

One of this year's highlights is the presence of acclaimed writer Margarida Rebelo Pinto on November 9, giving visitors a chance to get up close and personal with the author.

During the week, the Book Fair continues to inspire new audiences, with the presentation of the book "Aqui Há Gato e Boas Histórias Também", by Sofia Vieira and Paulo Galindro, who will also be running storytelling sessions dedicated to pre-school and primary school children.
