The Art Space Residency
🎨🖌️ THE ART SPACE RESIDENCY 🎨🖌️ Come for one day of creation, a couple of days or the whole package! Thirteen days. Nine artists. One house in the Alentejo, and everything made in it stays on the walls From 15 to 27 August, the Art Space Hotel becomes a place where something is created every single day. A different artist arrives each morning and leads a workshop in their own craft: artstone, a collective painting which will be the table cloth, collage, cork and wood, driftwood, meditative drawing, movement. You do not book the whole two weeks. You book the days that call you, one at a time. No experience is needed anywhere in the programme, and most people who come have never called themselves artists. What you make does not go home with you that evening. It stays in the house for the rest of the programme, so the rooms hold more work every day, until the Open House on 27 August when it all hangs together. Lunch with the residency is €33 extra per day, if you would like to eat with us. Bringing your own is just as welcome. The Art Space opens this August, and it is being built by everyone who walks in. You do not have to call yourself an artist to come and be one for a day.
