    Medieval Alvalade 2026 For three days—September 18, 19, and 20—the town of Alvalade “dresses up in full regalia” for what is one of the largest medieval fairs on the Iberian Peninsula. This event, likened to an authentic immersive history lesson, commemorates the granting of the Manueline Charter to this town in 1510. This year’s festival is themed “From Illness to Healing.” A new theme every year.
