The Choral Days are one of the annual initiatives promoted by the Harmonia Choir of Santiago do Cacém. They began in 2000 with the aim of implementing a new cycle dedicated to polyphonic choral music, positively reinforcing the cultural dynamics of our city and our municipality. This year they will be held on October 18 and 19 at the Cine Teatro Vitória - Artur de Sousa Pinto, in Ermidas-Sado, and at the Alvalade Municipal Auditorium, respectively.

In 2014, the Jornadas were named after José Augusto, the founding chorister of Coral Harmonia, who represented exactly the spirit of these choral exchanges, thus honoring his legacy. In these meetings, as in life, he was and will continue to be a true ambassador for Coral Harmonia.

    Medieval Alvalade 2026 For three days—September 18, 19, and 20—the town of Alvalade “dresses up in full regalia” for what is one of the largest medieval fairs on the Iberian Peninsula. This event, likened to an authentic immersive history lesson, commemorates the granting of the Manueline Charter to this town in 1510.
