Synopsis: Inês Silva, a native of Alvalade, Santiago do Cacém, was born on December 20, 1986. Music and singing have always been part of her life, ever since she was a child.

Her love for fado emerged later, at age 20, largely due to the influence of family members who also sang it. She made her fado debut in her hometown, Alvalade, and has sung fado ever since.

In 2012, she participated in RTP 1’s Grande Prémio do Fado, reaching the semifinals.

She has performed abroad, in Switzerland, and regularly sings in restaurants, community gatherings, and private and public fado events.

    Medieval Alvalade 2026 For three days—September 18, 19, and 20—the town of Alvalade “dresses up in full regalia” for what is one of the largest medieval fairs on the Iberian Peninsula.
