As part of the celebration of World Mental Health Day, GAAF will host an awareness-raising event for teaching and non-teaching staff, focused on the theme “Emotional Management, Depression, and Burnout.”

The session will last 1 hour and 30 minutes and will feature Clinical and Occupational Psychologist Eunice Caracol from the Algarve Local Health Unit, who will address this highly relevant topic in our, offering an opportunity for reflection and discussion on the importance of mental health and emotional well-being.

Time: 4:00 p.m.

Location: AEPPM Auditorium

Admission: Free, but registration is required

It will certainly be an important opportunity to reflect on these issues and acquire some tools that may be useful in both professional and personal contexts.

    LUSCO-FUSCO TUESDAYS On Tuesdays, the Nhama studio opens its doors here in Cadinho de Cima, Aljezur. Ricardo Marques, from Elfic Wood Works, and Tatiana Barreiros from Entre Mãos, come together to work with wood, natural fibres, mats, looms and other materials that happen to find their way into our hands. Since June, Nhama has been giving us a home, and now we want to fill that home with more hands. Starting this Tuesday, you are welcome to come and create with us. You don’t need to know how to make anything. Just bring your curiosity, your willingness to experiment, and some time to be. We’ll have tools, materials, techniques to share, and space for everyone to find their own way of making. This first afternoon, we’ll be exploring wood carving, mat-making and looms.
