📚 Maria da Luz Correia, researcher and representative of the Pátio das Memórias do Alentejo Litoral Association, will present her book “Between Cape Sardão and Cape Roca: Fishing and Daily Life (1927–1958), in the Diaries of ‘Mano Mário,’ a Fisherman from the Alentejo Coast” on May 28 (Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. at the Sines Municipal Library.
The session, part of the celebration of National Fisherman’s Day, will feature the participation of historians João Madeira (Institute of Contemporary History, FCSH – New University of Lisbon) and Francisco Silva (Almada Archaeology Center). The session will be moderated by Sandra Patrício, head of the Sines Municipal Archives, for an afternoon of learning and reflection on the maritime heritage and coastal cultures of the Alentejo.
