One thousand five hundred and change. Camões wrote the "Auto chamado dos Enfatriões". Of the three plays he wrote, this was the only one to be inspired by a theater text from Roman times: the famous "Amphitryon" by Plautus. "Auto das Anfitriãs" is one of many derivations. A possibility ready to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Camões' birth, without knowing for sure whether or not it's the right date to do so... It's a play of doudos, full of confusions, which, given the anniversary, appears as a celebration, a concert and a fair of deceit, seeking to question some of the foundations of today and dancing to the sound of the zeitgeist of the 21st century.
