On May 30, the town of Odemira will once again be the venue for youth handball, hosting another edition of the Sudoeste Handball Cup. The sporting event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with free admission, at the Odemira Municipal Sports Pavilion.
In 2026, the Sudoeste Handball Cup will feature the participation of the U-14 women’s regional teams from the Handball Associations of Lisbon, Setúbal, and Algarve/Baixo Alentejo.
Match schedule:
10:30 a.m. – Algarve/Baixo Alentejo U-14 team vs. Setúbal U-14 team
3:00 p.m. – Lisbon U-14 team vs. Setúbal U-14 team
5:00 p.m. – Algarve/Baixo Alentejo Youth Team vs. Lisbon Youth Team
6:30 PM – Awards ceremony and closing ceremony.

The Sudoeste Handball Cup Tournament is organized by the Municipality of Odemira, in partnership with the Algarve Handball Association and Cautchú - Association for the Promotion and Development of Sports, with the support of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth and the Portuguese Handball Federation.
