Ourique - Santana da Serra is preparing three days of festivities featuring music, traditions, and entertainment
The parish of Santana da Serra, in the municipality of Ourique, will once again celebrate its Summer Festivities on August 21, 22, and 23, with a diverse program featuring live music, sports activities, folk traditions, and entertainment for all ages.
The festivities kick off on Friday, August 21, with a dance to the music of Tomás Faisca, followed by a performance by the group Sonido Andaluz, promising a night of great entertainment.
On Saturday, August 22, the program begins first thing in the morning with a paintball tournament and a kayaking and paddleboarding trip on the Pomarinho Dam. In the afternoon, there will be extreme go-kart races and activities for children, including inflatable attractions and mechanical rides. In the evening, music takes center stage with a dance party featuring Ricardo Glória and a tribute to the Kizomba Masters, with Jake, Messias Maricoa, Gasso, and DJ Ademar.
Sunday, August 23, is dedicated to traditions and popular culture, featuring traditional games, a wall-climbing challenge, the “Bino do Porco” event, a bonfire, children’s entertainment, and a performance of traditional Portuguese storytelling. The musical finale will be performed by Vania Silva, followed by the candlelight procession accompanied by the band and the traditional dance, which marks the end of the festivities.
