Ourique celebrates St. Martin with senior walk dedicated to socializing and sharing
The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Ourique, with the support of the Ourique Health Center and the parish councils, will take the senior population to Moura, on a day of celebrating tradition and socializing, valuing the spirit of proximity and community that distinguishes Ourique.
As part of the municipal strategy to promote active and healthy ageing, the São Martinho Senior Walk puts the inclusion and well-being of the senior population at the heart of local social policies. Through socializing, sharing and access to new experiences, we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live with enthusiasm, dignity and purpose.
In this spirit, the Municipality of Ourique invites you to take part in this special celebration of São Martinho, on November 11, to the city of Moura.
Live a unique experience that promotes conviviality and where every experience is an opportunity to create memories and share smiles.

Program
- 08h45 - Departure from the parishes (at the usual locations)
- 09h00 - Departure from Ourique
- Free stroll on the Lago river beach
- Lunch with musical entertainment
- St. Martin's snack (with chestnuts and eau-de-vie)
Social lunch:
Starters: Paio, copita and black pork sausage, sheep's and goat's cheeses, aged cheese; in olive oil; greaves and olives;
Soup: Vegetable cream with coriander and croutons;
Main course: Oven-roasted cachaço;
Drinks: Regional Alentejo wine (red and white), water, juice, beer and coffee;
Dessert: Cream and strawberry ice cream or fruit salad;
Snack:
Regional tapas, assorted snacks, cold meats and dessert table. Chestnuts, agua-pé, muscatel and much more.
Sign up by November 3 at the Municipality's Social Action Office or at the parish councils in your area of residence.
Price: €20 per person, all inclusive!
