"Noites no Mirante" Festival
🎵The "Noites no Mirante" Festival returns to Monchique with d.a.m.a and major rock tributes. On August 7 and 8, the Serra de Monchique will once again be the perfect setting for warm summer nights with the arrival of the 5th edition of the “Noites no Mirante” festival. Largo de São Sebastião, in the heart of the village, will become the must-visit spot for two evenings filled with music, entertainment, and the best of regional cuisine. With completely free admission, this year’s event features an eclectic fusion of sounds and styles to appeal to audiences of all ages. The highlight of the main lineup is the performance by d.a.m.a, one of the most beloved bands in Portuguese music, promising a concert where you’ll sing “at the top of your lungs.” The energy of classic international rock will also be on full display with performances by Keep the Faith (Bon Jovi tribute) and Pearl Band (Pearl Jam tribute), who will bring the great anthems of the ’80s and ’90s back to life. Rounding out the lineup of live performances, the festival will feature sets by artist Sheila and m80. The Porto-based band Táxi, one of the biggest icons of rock and pop-rock in Portugal (famous for songs like “Chiclete” and “tv Cine”), is the headliner for the festival’s second day. In addition to the music, the venue—which opens at 7:00 p.m.—invites visitors to savor the local culture. The venue will feature traditional food stalls serving local mountain cuisine and regional specialties. Alongside the music, Medronho de Monchique will be the major regional highlight of the festival. The perfect plan for your summer isn’t at the beach—it’s in the mountains!
