Ourique confirms Alentejo Pig Fair for March 20, 21, and 22
The Municipality of Ourique and the Association of Alentejo Pig Breeders (ACPA) are promoting the 18th edition of the Alentejo Pig Fair, one of the leading events in the municipality and the region, on March 20, 21, and 22, 2026. the 18th edition of the Alentejo Pig Fair, one of the municipality's and region's flagship events. For three days, Ourique will once again become the epicenter of rural celebration, bringing together tradition, gastronomy, conviviality, authenticity, culture, and innovation. With a diverse program, the Alentejo Pig Fair is an invitation to discover and enjoy the best of the Alentejo.
Over almost two decades, the event has established itself as a showcase for the Alentejo pork industry, playing an important role in promoting rural identity, the local economy, and the knowledge and flavors associated with the world of agriculture and livestock.
The 2026 edition will once again feature a musical program, a technical program dedicated to the Alentejo pork industry, and a series of cultural and festive initiatives, reflecting the connection between tradition, production, gastronomy, and territory. The complete program will be announced in due course.

The event is a hallmark of Ourique's rural identity and a meeting point for visitors, producers, experts, and decision-makers, promoting the appreciation of traditions, the strengthening of the agri-food sector, and the affirmation of the Alentejo pig sector as an engine of development.
