On Sunday, November 30, Santa Margarida da Serra hosts the Serra Fair - Christmas Edition, a celebration of the community, crafts and local flavors, now with a festive glow that heralds the arrival of the Christmas season.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the small village square is transformed into a market full of charm, where you can find unique gifts, taste regional delicacies and take part in activities designed for the whole family.

Among the novelties of this edition are the handmade Christmas candle workshop, the cooking workshop, live musical entertainment and, of course, the traditional food and drink, which give this initiative its flavor and soul.

More than a fair, this is a meeting between generations, a moment to celebrate the spirit of Christmas in a simple, genuine way, close to nature. It's an initiative that takes place throughout the year and its mission is to value local production, promote the circular economy and strengthen community ties. It brings together producers, artisans and visitors in an authentic setting, where the knowledge, flavors and traditions of the Alentejo come together.

The Serra Fair is organized by the Despert'Alfazema Association, which is responsible for the "Jardim Alfazema" kindergarten, an educational project that combines nature, freedom and active learning. This kindergarten promotes a model of education in contact with the countryside and the community, contributing to the sustainable and social development of the region. Part of the proceeds from the fair help to support this project, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility, childhood and the revitalization of inland villages.

The fair has the support of the Grândola and Santa Margarida da Serra Parish Council and Grândola Town Hall.
