While his music used to be mostly instrumental, Gajo now brings us lyrics as well. João Morais, already missing singing, has lent his voice to his compositions, adding a new level of depth to his musical stories. The viola campaniça remains the backbone of his music, but it now engages in new dialogues—with two accordions, the ancestral beat of the adufe, the bagpipes, and the Galician tambourine creating a fusion of tradition and experimentation.
