Gesture Archive - Workshop / Exhibition
September 21st - Moagem de Sabóia - Casa do Morgado
On September 21, the Provisional School for Nothing invites artisan António Ramos and the community to participate in the Gesture Archive, a project that records and shares manual knowledge through the encounter between tradition and experimentation.
Workshop with António Ramos (9am-12pm) - Participants will have the opportunity to learn and experiment with craft techniques, exploring the relationship between gesture, memory and matter.
Exhibition (until 6pm)-Real-time construction by the students of the Provisional School for Nothing of a display of artistic objects generated from learning the wickerwork processes handed down by the craftsman António Ramos and the live recording of his gestures.
Free admission with lunch included (places limited).

On September 21, the Provisional School for Nothing invites artisan António Ramos and the local community to take part in Archive of Gestures, a project that records and shares manual knowledge through an encounter between tradition and experimentation.
Workshop with António Ramos (9 am-12 pm) - Participants will have the chance to learn and experiment with traditional craft techniques, exploring the relationship between gesture, memory, and material.
Exhibition (until 6 pm) - A real-time installation created by students of the Provisional School for Nothing, presenting artistic objects generated from their learning of António Ramos's wicker-working methods and from the live documentation of his gestures.
Free admission with lunch included (limited places).
