Juventude Atlético Clube and gdct Repsol Polímeros, through their billiards divisions, will host the 2nd Alentejo Coast Portuguese Pool Open on September 4, 5, and 6, 2026, in Santiago do Cacém, a tournament sanctioned by the Portuguese Billiards Federation.

The event will take place simultaneously in the two halls of the organizing clubs, featuring a total of 7 Space Pro tables, with 64 athletes participating from various regions of the country.

This Open coincides with the 2026 Feira do Monte, providing an excellent opportunity to promote Santiago do Cacém to dozens of visitors who will be staying in the municipality over the weekend, thereby boosting the restaurant industry, local retail, and lodging establishments.

As in the previous edition, the tournament aims to welcome players from various parts of the country, including leading figures in the sport, district champions, national champions, and other prominent names in Portuguese pool. By bringing together athletes from various districts across the country, the tournament helps promote Santiago do Cacém as a tourist and sports destination and raises the municipality’s profile among visitors from different regions.
